Blue Ombal





This little yellow and blue hat is thick yet light and will keep you warm in style.







You will need:
2.5 oz (130 yards) – omber
2.5 oz (130 yards) – solid
Crochet hook size F

Techniques used:
Mr = make ring (make a loop, insert hook, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through)
Fpdc = front post dc (yo, insert hook from front to back and bring forward around post, yo and pull up a loop, (yo and pull through 2 loops) twice)
Inc = (fpdc, dc) in same stitch
crab stitch = reverse sc (insert hook in previous st, yo, pull up a loop, yo pull through 2 loops)


With omber, mr.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in ring.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc (12sc)
Rnd 3: (2 sc in next st, sc in next sc) around (18sc)
Rnd 4: (2 sc in next st, sc in next 2) around (24sc)
Rnd 5: change to solid (2 dc in next st, dc in next 3) around (30dc)
Rnd 6: (fpdc, dc) around (30dc)
Rnd 7: change to omber. inc around (60dc)
Rnd 8: (fpdc, dc) around (60dc)
Rnd 9: change to omber. inc around (120 dc).
Rnd 10: (fpdc, dc) around (120 dc)
Rnd 11: change to solid. (inc2, fpdc in next st, dc in next st) around (200dc)
Rnd 12: (fpdc, dc) around (200dc)
Rnd 13: change to omber. (inc, (fpdc, dc) twice) around (240dc)
Rnd 14: (fpdc, dc) around (240dc)
Rnd 15: With 1 strand omber and 1 strand solid, crab stitch around.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
