Popcorn Flower Afghan
This is an offshoot of one of my mother's maiden
attempts at crocheting over 30 years ago. The nice thing about the pattern is that it's easy to adapt to your own colors and style!

Materials:
crochet hook - size J
Worked with 2 colors (A & B)
Gauge:
1 motif = 6" square
Motif Pattern:
With A, ch 4. Join with sl st to form ring.
1: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), work 15 dc in ring, join with a sl st to top
of ch 3 (16 dc)
2: Ch 4, *dc in next dc, ch 1; rep from *, ending sl st in 3rd ch of
ch 4 (16 ch 1 sp). Break , draw mc through loop on hook.
3: Ch 3, 4 dc in first sp, draw up loop on hook, remove hook, insert
from front to back through top of ch 3 and through free loop, drawing
loop to hook size, yo and through loops on hook (popcorn), ch 2, *work
5 dc in next sp, draw up loop, remove hook, insert hook in top of
first dc and free loop, complete as before, ch 2; rep from * around;
join with a sl st to top of ch 3 of first popcorn. Break off MC, draw
A through loop on hook.
4: Ch 3, 2 dc in last ch-2 sp of last row (3-dc shell), *(3 dc in next
ch-2 sp) 3 times; in next sp, work shell, ch 2 and shell (corner); rep
from *, ending shell in same sp as first shell, ch 2, join with a sl
st to top of ch 3. Break off A, draw MC through loop on hook.
5: Through back loops, work 1 sc in same st with sl st and in each dc,
3 sc under each ch 2 at corners. Join and fasten off.

What stitch did you use to put the granny squares together? Or did you sew them together? PS, I LOVE this pattern! Thanks for sharing :)
